Parking mode needs a hardwire kit
To record while the car is parked, the dashcam is wired to the fuse box with a hardwire kit. A good kit cuts power when the battery voltage drops, so the car still starts the next morning.
Night footage matters as much as resolution
Higher resolution makes number plates easier to read, but many incidents happen after dark. A camera that records clearly at night is often more useful than one with a bigger resolution number.
Use a high-endurance memory card
Dashcams record in a loop and overwrite the oldest footage. Constant writing wears out ordinary memory cards; a high-endurance card made for dashcams lasts much longer.

Front-only covers what's ahead; front and rear also records anything from behind. Tell us how you use your car and we'll suggest one.
Will the wires show?
We route the cable along the headliner and trim so it stays hidden and tidy.
Will a dashcam drain my car battery?
When the car is off, a dashcam only draws power if it is set up for parking mode. A hardwire kit with a low-voltage cut-off protects the battery. We'll go through the options when you book.
How much does dashcam installation cost?
