Projectors versus plain LED bulbs
Dropping LED bulbs into a reflector headlamp can scatter light and dazzle other drivers. A projector lens focuses the beam with a sharp cut-off, lighting the road without blinding oncoming traffic.
Clear covers make a big difference
Yellowed or cloudy headlamp covers block light even with new bulbs. Replacing the covers, as on the Mercedes-Benz E200 in our gallery, restores both brightness and looks.
Ambient lighting that switches off with the car
Ambient strips are wired so they turn off with the ignition and don't drain the battery. Colour and brightness control depends on the kit you choose.
